With a cast of outstanding soloists from Argentina such as Monica Romero & Omar Ocampo (Los Ocampo), Alicia Katzen & Fabian Pastorutti, Eduardo Bozzo the live orchestra from Cyprus the show “Tango Mediterraneo” leads the audience from the essence of tango to the stylish modern tango revival. Dancers and musicians are creating different stories of different characters with their personal musical interpretations. The first part of the show is composed of “traditional” tangos and the second part is devoted to Piazzolla and Tango Nuevo. The show is a fascinating extravaganza of beauty, passion and sensuality of this authentic Argentine dance!
 
Omar Ocampo & Monica Romero “Los Ocampo”

Monica and Omar are the stars of the famous tango show “Tango Pasiόn” with the legendary Sexteto Mayor. There is hardly a country in the world where these names won’t be well known. Monica studied jazz, and contemporary dance, specializing in modern dance and of course Tango. She has studies and performed with the most prestigious choreographers and argentine teachers: Nuri Cid, Beatriz & Victor Ferrari, Moira Chapman, Olga Frances, Hector Estevez, Daniel Fernandez. She integrated the cast of many music-halls with famous artists like: Moria Casan, Susana Gimenez, NelidaLobato, Porcel-Olmedo, and comedies like: “El diluvio que viene”, “La sexta esposa”. Monica was also starring in various TV productions: “Porcel’s program”, “Badia & Company”, “Percivalle’s show” and numerous others. Omar started his professional career when he was only 16 years old. He entered in the Ballet Folklorico Nacional of Santiago Ayala “El Chucaro” & Norma Viola and was for many years its ballet master. He was also the protagonist of the most important masterpieces in national argentine folkloric dance and soloist of the projects of Juan Carlos Copes. Omar Ocampo is considered to be the best dancer of the argentine folklore, and the successor of his teacher: “Chucaro”. Omar is an exceptional dancer, a passionate milongero and folklorista with a caring gifted talent of a patient teacher. He is one of the judges of the Danzas Argentinas Competition and the teacher of honor at the Ballet Folklorico Nacional. Omar and Monica are the creators of various argentine tango shows that are currently touring all over the world. Tango Bravo is one of them. They are invited as argentine tango teachers all over the world and hundreds of great dancers are honored to call themselves students of Monica and Omar.

 
 
Fabian Pastorutti & Alicia Katzen

Alicia is an excellent dancer of exceptional elegance and style, high class professionalism and seductive sensuality, with a lot of experience in different styles of dance, from rhythmic, full of joy, Milonga, through ballet to the elegant Argentine Tango. She performed for many years as a professional dancer with the top dancing groups in Latin America and North Americas. Together with Fabian she has developed a unique methodology for Tango teaching that is based on Alicia’s experience of teaching ballet and based on Fabian's experience of teaching Tango. This methodology clarifies every element of Tango and enables to combine a creative way of dance full of inspiration and imagination. The concept of this methodology is seeing the connection between the dancing partners as a central basis in the dance, emphasizing the concentration, the dialogue and the compromise between the dancers. Fabian studied Tango Argentino in Buenos Aires with some of the best Tango teachers, such as: Mingo Pugliese, Gisille Anne & Gustavio Naviera, Natalia Gomes & Gabriel Angis and many others. Fabian has a control of Tango from the basis and he knows deeply and precisely the role of the man in this authentic dance, which enables him to develop a unique approach for dancing and teaching Tango. Alicia and Fabian have created together many original choreographies for various tango shows all over the world.

 
 
 
Eduardo Bozzo
Eduardo Bozzo is an extremely talented Argentinean dancer, teacher and choreographer of a young generation. Eduardo has graduated from the University of Fine Arts in Buenos Aires, faculties of drama and folk dance and he also studied with the most renowned milongeros. Has been teaching and performing Tango Argentino around Europe and Latin America including International Festivals in Argentina, Costa Rica, Greece and UK since 1999. He is currently based in Bristol. Eduardo’s interests cover Tango’s traditional forms, as well developing the link between Tango Argentino and other expressive arts. He has also participated as the soloist in a number of theatrical performances in UK, Greece and Argentina.
 
 
Orchestra "El Mediterraneo”.
The orchestra was formed in 2004 by 10 young musicians from Cyprus who shared their great passion for Tango:
